Pretty Soily Company, the eponymous band’s debut album, arrives on June 6!
Having already worked together, Olivier Bonneau(Half a Band) and Henri Vaugrand(Grandval) have this time decided to work in total collaboration to develop music more in keeping with their shared inspirations, roots and tastes.
The album naturally developed using English for the lyrics, and drawing on references often progressive or pop, but not only.
Without being conceptual, Pretty Soily Company has an Ariadne’s thread, the feeling that our lives are full of dialectically linked opposites, sometimes leaving us upside down.
Designed to be listened to like a vinyl record, Pretty Soily Company reaches its climax with the supposed B-side and its lengthy 22-minute suite, “A Scent of Ohelo Berry”.
